make a whole bunch of great friends, and theeeen you leave then for college.
then you make more friends, not as many, and then the year is over, and once again they dissappear.
and now I'm at work, am I going to make new friends, only to end up leaving them as well?
what is the point?

No! BE a friend, don't worry about how many you HAVE - and then actually you will wind up with lots of them. And they will all have at least one good friend - you.
the point is... just be consequent with the choices u make... i have been changed several times my life due to my parents work that i feel i have friends in a lots parts!!
I never realized it, but young Ben was kinda right.
